tardiness is a bad quality.

So, I know I have been absent from the cyber world for a while.... I feel almost as if I am sinning! Anyway, I know excuses are never worth saying, because they are excuses, but I'm going to say them anyway. I had an exam, and then I got a tad sick, and then work just caught up with me. So, I happened to not post for a while. However, during my abscense, (of three days?), I have been complimented numerous times, creating friendships with people BECAUSE OF MY BLOG. If I go out, people know my face, and it's funny to say, but they know more about me before even meeting me! Its almost surreal.

Case ONE: I have a friend on twitter, and one of her friends follows my blog because of her. I met her and she absolutely loved my posts. Friendsssssss

Case TWO: One of my friends roomates got hooked because my friend was speaking about it all the time. He complimented me on my music choices and said I should post more. Friendssss (ps, Im posting music today if you happen to take a study break and read :))

Case THREE: A friend was looking at the blog in class and the girl BEHIND her lurked over her shoulder. I later saw her around campus and she approached me. Friendssss

There are quite possibly many other cases, but these were just in the past three days! oyy. I hope I'm living up to everyone's standards. xxxx

Anyway, enough ramble... I went to my friends 19th birthday party yesterday, woooo! and this is what I wore. check check check it out. Then we went out to a bar, and people absolutely loved the shoes and the ring. HOLYYYYY I love this outfit.

ON JEN: A lace tank (a tad see through...), paired with my favourite black blazer, (thrifted), with a sequin skirt (that is actually a tube top that I transformed), with black ripped tights, a thrifted leather clutch, my glorious KEN BELL black jeweled ring and AMAZING shoes from Forever 21. LOVELOVELOVE. holy moly.

And for all you lovely people headed to Felix Cartal tonight... SNEAK PREVIEW

canada vs usa. we all know whos the real winner.

It's no wild guess when I say that possibly all (at least a large majority) of Canada is watching the hockey game right now, Canada vs the US for the gold. I personally have been attached to my tv, resorting to eating, sleeping, dressing and doing every other daily activity infront of it, being glued to the Olympic coverage. I absolutely love how cultures and countries from around the world gather in one spot to compete. Even if you don't end up with a medal, it is such an accomplishment to even GET to the Olympics.

So, little did I know that one of my closest friend's brother, goes to school with an Olympian (unfortunately he did not win a medal...), however, I still think it's amazing that he qualified! JEFF BATCHELOR qualified for the mens half pipe snowboarding. I personally watched him on tv! How cool is that?! Whats even COOLER is that he is currently sponsored by BENCH, and has his own personal t-shirt! My friend was actually wearing it last night, and it looked amazing! Little did I know I was going to post about it today.. I should have taken a picture. Here's a sneak preview off of Jeff's facebook page... It is sweet graffitti style shirt, showing Jeff in goggles, with the CN Tower in the background, as well as snapshots of Jeff snowboarding. It's officially available at BENCH.

Now, if that isn't cool enough for you, Jeff has a cameo in VANITY FAIR! (to relate to fashion :P) Here is the article below. It's kind of neat to know a celebrity with a couple degrees of seperation... :D
Age: 21. Country: Canada. Sport: Half-pipe snowboarding. Placed: 32nd. Best part of being an Olympian: “I don’t know, if you were trying to be politically correct as an Olympian, what would you say?” How was it competing? “Well, it was kind of short-lived because I fell both runs. But it was pretty cool to be up in front of everyone and representing your country. It’s like, This is sick. I made it to the highest level, and I’m going to give it my all.”

teen vogue boys. check, check, check it out.

Look out girls! Here's the lineup of the new Teen Vogue Boys. And gosh darn, they all melt my heart.

Look out guys! If you want to dress like these hunks, pay attention, girls love it. Study the photos and maybe I'll see you around campus similarly dressed. Spring is just around the corner, it's a great time to show off your looks!

Logan Lerman. The newest cutie on the scene from Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Looking classy in a simple suit and fun sneakers.
In the hot seat: Thom Browne suit, shirt, and tie. Vans shoes, $42.

Paul Wesley, another gorgeous vampire. Is there any other kind lately? Wearing a button up shirt, sweater and a classy spring jacket, sporting a popped collar.

Taylor Lautner. I wouldn't mind taking a swim in that pool with you... you know a sexy guy when he can look gorgeous clothed while swimming. I don't expect all you guys to readily jump into a pool wearing a suit, but a guy who cleans up well always finds his way to a girls heart.

Ed Westwick, Marry me? I'm being serious... I actually cannot express how much I love Ed's looks and character. I have no criticisms... just love. Any guy who can pull off a simple shirt, sweater and blazer, topping it off with a necklace and laid back jeans will definitely get a smile out of me.
Ed wears a D&G blazer, Victor Glemaud henley, Tim Hamilton t-shirt, Acne jeans, and a Lady Grey necklace.

Zac Effron. Simple but high class in a plaid shirt, tie and blazer. Another preppy boy outfit which I love. Zac Effron is a close second to Ed Westwick in terms of the race for my heart.

Robert Pattinson. Ohhh boy. Looking stunning in just a wind breaker. Gives hope to us all. Robert's distinctive sexy stare is just enough to woo a girl. Guys, practice it in the mirror. practice makes perfect you know...

The Jonas Brothers. Grown up, and handsome.Click for behind the scenes.
These guys are known for wearing cute sneakers, jeans, graphic tees and pairing it with a blazer. Blazers are 'IN' guysm, take notes, it'll pay off in the end.

TEEN VOGUE OUTFITS: RESEARCH.

Ethan Peck. Star of the Family Show, 10 Things I Hate About You. Ethan wears a Diesel shirt, $120. BBlessing T-shirt, $70. Dunderdon pants, $155.

Anton Yelchin, the cutie, most recently known mastering a Russian accent in the newest Star Trek Sensation. Anton wears a Band of Outsiders shirt, $215, and blazer. Marc by Marc Jacobs jeans, $188. United Bamboo shoes, $350.

Bo Burnham. Internet found Comedian. Bo wears Earnest Sewn jeans, a Paul Smith Jeans sweatshirt, and Converse sneakers.

PS. SNEAK PEAK VID CLIP OF MY NEW FAVOURITE MOVIE (I just have a feeling...)

snakeskin.

To escape reality, I write. I ramble. I go on and on about nothing, which is quite probably the thing I am doing now. For me, my escape is clothing. I absolutely love it. I love patterns, jewels, bold statements and oddities. I'll wear just about anything if I fancy it. Today, I decided to wear a snakeskin print skirt. To accompany it, I paired it with a grey tank, a dark grey knit sweater, an oversize belt and tights. Simple, yet still elegant. I fastened a silver chain necklace around my wrist to become a bracelet.

So, out into the arctic weather we go... grabbing a faux fur hat and my parka. My Sorrel trudging boots are still proving to be extremely useful. phew.

On another note...
Facebook proves to be a powerful tool ( I admit to creeping...) when looking for new songs to fall in love with for the day. This showed up on my main feed. Check it out, or hear it soon when you come visit me. Its going to be on loop for a while.

tuesday's outfit. photoshoot.

Over the break I went shopping (as always...) and I made a trip to Forever 21. It has to be one of my favourite places, just due to the fact that all of their clothes are fun and chic, not to mention inexpensive as well! Today, I'm wearing a white tank top dress, which is striped with black ribbon, paired with a grey checkered blazer and tights. To spice things up, I added a Kenneth Bell black ring, a silver vintage bangle, and an assortment of necklaces. Pictured below are extreme closeups to showcase the jewelry in more detail.

PS!!!! I just so happened to google 'Fashion Uncensored', yes.. I apparently have too much time on my hands... and I have officially made it to the EIGHTH spot on google! wooo. I'm moving on up...

lady gaga, weird even for her standards.

I just wanted to post some eye candy to all...
Don't get me wrong, I love Lady Gaga. Her songs are amazing and I will listen to them on loop for hours on end. BUT, this photo shoot is a tad odd. It was even said that Queen Gaga felt awkward and ashamed of this shoot, refusing to go through with it unless her bf was taking the pics. Shes seen here grabbing inappropriate areas and wearing odd accessories. Assess yourself... let me know what you think?

roses.

Yesterday's weather inspired a spring outfit. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and I am not ashamed to say that I actually laid out on my deck and soaked up some rays during the afternoon. I am dreaming of sunny spring days and comfortingly cool nights. lalala

Being back at school, in the snow belt (just lovely), we were hit with a huge snowstorm today, and I unfortunately styled my outfit and dressed myself before looking out the window (BIG MISTAKE). The ground has just been decorated with upwards of 15 cm of snow. Grrr. I swear, I am moving after school to a place where it is a sign of the apocalypse if a snowflake falls from the sky...

Shown here is a cute three quarter sleeve length sweater from Forever 21, paired with a black tank. The roses are adorable, almost seeming if they were hand drawn and painted onto the sweater. This is probably my first piece of red clothing which I am anxious to wear... if you haven't noticed, I stick to blacks...

The main picture of my outfit doesn't do the skirt justice, it is covered by black swirls which are meant to represent a floral pattern. When I saw it in Forever 21, I fell in love at first sight. It's simple, elegant, classy, and makes a plain black skirt have character. J'adore.

Seeing how I never wear red, I really have no red accessories to pair with this outfit. Black accessories would have made for an outfit that looked over done. To make this outfit (somewhat) winterized, I paired it with black leggings. Too bad once I walk outside this glorious outfit is hidden underneath a parka and knee high snow/slush trudging boots. Yes, trudging.

A Little Shopping Trip to the Most Glorious and Fantasical Place

If you love jewelry as much as I do, and are longing to feel the experience of being a little kid in a candy shoppe for the first time, be sure to visit Kenneth Bell, a most wonderful jewelry store, which is located in Port Hope ON.

Yesterday, I went on a lovely outing to the downtown area of Port Hope to scout out the stores in hopes of finding my grandmother a birthday gift. Little did I know, that I would be captivated by the the cutest little shop for over an hour, sifting through hundreds upon hundreds of gorgeous accessories!

The exterior of Kenneth Bell, located at 20 Walton Street, Port Hope, gives off the small town, 'one of a kind' feel, which I love so much. The banner above the store includes a crown, which is to reflect the catchy slogan: Kenneth Bell, the King of Glitz. Enter the store and you will see that Ken Bell is truly the Glitz King. To snag the attention of passerbys, the windows are decorated from top to bottom with eye catching accessories, purses and jewels. The sight is truly captivating, and it gains the attention of anyone, from women to men, young to old.

The interior is something out of a fantasy children's book. The drapery hung from the ceiling enshrouds you in an atmosphere that makes you forget the worries of the world. It plainly and simply makes you feel happy. If they allowed customers to live in the back room, I would be the first to offer pay for rent! (only half kidding...)

Currently, the new Spring collection has arrived, which features lovely fresh pastel colours that beautify numerous necklaces, clutches, purses and jeweled bangles. This seasons 'it' objects are butterflies and floral arrangements, which can be seen as the focal point of many main and popular pieces within the store.

Oceanic themes can also be spotted within the new collection, using sea creatures such as star fish and coral to magnificently decorate chokers and bracelets.

And if Ken isn't talented enough by providing this jewelry haven to young ladies who could get lost for hours within the corners of his shop, he designs his own jewelry as well! His looks feature metal works and stones strategically placed to create glorious geometrically shaped necklaces. Here are only a few I stopped to take pictures of:

If this hasn't yet intrigued you to make a day trip to Port Hope, maybe the gorgeous rings I purchased will. Featured here is a black circular jeweled ring, a floral ring, a jewel encrusted spider ring, a golden pearl ring and a mirrored jewel ring. If you aren't convinced by the design, maybe you will be by the prices! I grabbed these five rings feverishly and the total came to around $25! (Kenneth Bell has an amazing 80% off sale on their fall collection for the moment, and it will probably continue into March!)

All the designs in the store are either hand made by Ken, or come from around North America, primarily from New York and LA for different designs.

I have just walked out of a fantastic dream of a shop and I could visit it every day in the future. You can sift through boxes upon boxes of wondrous items and will find yourself wanting everything in the store. It is absolutely wonderful.

this one's for the runway. extravagant beauty.

Being at home I have a bit more time... During the summer I thrifted a vintage wedding dress and completely tore it apart for the lovely adornments. Featured here is the bow that was placed at the lower back of the dress. Thought I would make a necklace shirt... yes, it was extravagant, and yes, I would never wear it outside, but maybe if I attended a pristine fashion show...

I started out with a pair of men's striped, high waisted dress pants, and my favourite black blazer. I attached the bow on to a metal chain to create a necklace, and I tucked the bow into my pants. Extremely masculine, but feminine at the same time. Ha. This outfit is definitely something to look at.

project SPOTTED, another willing participant.

Once again, I am bringing up the Project SPOTTED. Yesterday I received a couple photos from a lovely lady to post! If you ever have any desire to be on the blog (it would be great to see what you decided to put together to wear!), just give me a shout!

Featured on Emma in these pictures is an h&m black vintage styled dress, paired with a wilfred cardigan, long chained chanel pearls and random cute pair of heels from the pacific mall. The shoes were a great steal, only being $25!!

Gorgeous. Future model... and I'm serious. LOOK AT HER!

Notice Chanel Pearls.
