Sneak Preview of jennieCdesigns' Summer 2010 Necklace Line Photo Shoot: Inspiration for New Website Design

Yesterday, I took full advantage of the beautiful weather. With a cloudless sky, and the lake resembling an ocean, I decided to finally construct and act out a photo shoot with elegantly displays my Summer 2010 Chain Necklace Collection. I am currently in the process of editing the photos, and redesigning my website, http://www.jenniecdesigns.com, however, I decided to give everyone a sneak peak at the photos, and allow for comments and feedback on your end. The website is going to be AMAZING, and will be updated constantly with professional photographs of my designs. Enjoy!

Prada to Chanel, Fall 2010 Footwear

I've come to the sad realization, that summer is near its end. Although most of us want to still believe that its the beginning of July, the mornings are getting a tad chillier, and the wind is starting to blow more often. I love the sound of the wind through the trees, but that is a definite sign of Fall. However, with Fall, comes Fall issues of magazines, and everyone knows, they are the largest issues of them all.... Spread after spread, advertisement after advertisement. The 508 pages of Harper's Bazaar and the comparable ones of Vogue, Fashion, Elle, In Style etc are enough to make any Fall blahs flutter out the window.

Found amongst the Fall Collection campaign ads, within the glossy pages, was a definite reoccurring theme: emphasis on fashionable footwear, showing off your feet, while keeping them cozy in winter. Prada and Chanel portrayed a beautiful Fall Winter Collection, exemplifying just this.

Enter, Kitten Heels and granny inspired stockings, and a fur overload, ranging from Booties, to Heels to Pants (maybe even leggings?).

Both collections are a gorgeous array of solid colours, elegant stripes, beautiful materials and geometric shapes. Although they are on quite opposites sides with respect to 'style', (classic vs, out doorsey and native inspired), they both showcase a woman's legs and feet exquisitely.
Whichever style you prefer, ultimately be prepared to choose your choice of weapon against the cold, because your feet truly deserve to be fashionably warm.

Pamela Love: Easy to Fall in Love With

Pamela Love.
First of all, what a beautiful name. And if you aren't attracted to the easiness of how it rolls off of your tongue when you say it, you will definitely fall in love with her collection. I was first captivated by her new pewter handbags- they are truly different and add a new dimension to the word. They are crafted completely out of metal and distressed, giving it an ancient, vintage look. These bags are extremely exclusive, and can be purchased from a limited collection for $3,000.00, each. Each bag features the designers initials, and signature charms which characterize each one. With their elegant beauty, these strap shoulder bags will create a presence that cannot be ignored. Pamela Love has truly outdone herself designing these metallic masterpieces.

Upon viewing Pamela's site for more interesting designs, I was taken aback by the additional beautifully designed metal work aside from the purses. I have fallen in love with these pieces as well:

Mamoth Talon Cuff:

Pamela Love joined forces with Black Sheep & Prodigal Sons to transform her signature Talon Cuff into The Mammoth Talon Cuff. From the hand-carved 10-30,000 year old Siberian woolly mammoth tusk bark talons to the six black diamonds on the palm of the cuff, this one of a kind jewelry is not only a remarkable fashion statement, but a collectible sculptural specimen. It is limited to 14 pieces, numbered in scrimshaw on one of the claws and comes with a 4 inch glass dome and engraved black wood base.

Where the Wild Things Are:

Pamela Love collaborated with retailer Opening Ceremony to create jewelry inspired by Spike Jonze's 2009 film Where The Wild Things Are. These limited-edition pieces will be available online and in-store at Opening Ceremony, as well as in other specialty boutiques worldwide

Taylor Momsen, a 17 Year Old in Transformation

For all of you who have been completely addicted to Gossip Girl for the past couple of years, waiting for the new fashions, sitting on the edge of your seat while the new scandal plays out on screen, and falling completely in love with either Chuck Bass, or Nate Archibald, you have definitely noticed the drastic transformation which the innocent little Jenny has gone through. We all thought it was a 'I'm a teenager in search for my purpose' phase. Or, we understood that it was the type of ecentric behaviour that came with being a fashion designer. We accepted her, learned to love her (maybe a bit less than before), and decided to smack our hands against our heads and dislike her a bit more when she did something totally rebellious or utterly stupid on the show. Yes, Jenny, you are extrememly gorgeous, but knowing you are becoming a teenage rock and roll wanna be is a major turn off from your innocence which you once possessed.

Now, were just talking about Gossip Girl here. However, Taylor Momsen has made this drastic transformation in real life as well. Remember little Cindy Lou Who from the Grinch? Yupp, that was Taylor. I almost wanted to cry when she sang her famous Christmas song 'Where are you Christmas?'.
Now, with her new album coming out, it portrays a completely different feel.

'The Pretty Reckless' will be released on Aug 30, featuring 'Make Me Wanna Die' and 'Light Me Up' is a rock and roll collection mixed with a teenage girls spin on things. The songs are interesting, and her wardrobe is even more so.

I'm not sure where I stand with Taylor's new look, whether I like her better as an innocent Cindy or Jenny, or as a rock and roll, sex symbol wearing lingerie and stocking clips.

Whatever my opinion, her clothing and jewelry are outstanding, and definitely contemplate the rock and roll look.

Listen to her new song, and you'll understand what I mean. Who do you like better? Jenny? or Taylor? Its a hard choice, but Taylor is taking over, and will not stop at anything.
