If you happen to find your self in London England this weekend, visit the Barbican in London, which showcases "Future Beauty", displaying the past 30 years in Japanese fashion. The collection features over 100 pieces dating back the past three decades. They are geometrical and asymmetrical portraying more of an artistic feel rather than sleek and sexiness. The clothing is amazing however, and to see it in person would probably make my jaw drop.

Luxury Body and Swimwear- Electric Ibiza

I have this huge fascination with Europe, and I'm not afraid to admit that if I had the chance to pack up all of my belongings tomorrow and live there for a while, I would definitely do so. Europe is extremely inspirational in my eyes, and European designs have a certain untouchable aura about them.

I came across this gorgeous collection of body and swimwear from Ibiza, Spain. Each design from 'Electric-Ibiza' shapes a woman's curves an accentuates her figure. I love the use of tassels, leather, chiffon and chains, crafted together to create an elegant and sexy body piece. Wouldn't you want to walk on a beach in Spain at sundown in on of these whimsical outfits and feel extremely sexy?

Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Paris Spring Summer 2011 Show

Paris is a magical city due to its culture, history, beautiful landmarks and of course, one of the most romantic languages in the world (in my opinion...) And during this time, Paris is enshrouded with even more magic, while hosting Paris Fashion Week.  Paul Gaultier recently lit up the runway with his masterfully crafted Spring Summer 2011 Collection. Some pieces are outrageous (in a good way) and others are simply stunning. Looking at his collection makes me feel as if I walked into Wonderland, holding hands and skipping along with Alice, while the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp... mmmm) was feverishly, cutting and sewing different clothes and hats for the Queen. I am absolutely obsessed. Gaultier even throws in a spin to the show: last week he had a male model dress as a woman in his menswear collection. This week, that same model, Andrej Pejic, who has very feminine features wore Gaultiers version of a wedding gown. Andrej Pejic appeared in the new ads released by Gaultier not long ago. On a side note: Andrej is so beautiful, and has such a feminine face, that he is often used as a woman model as well!

 

MELBOURNE's androgynous modelling superstar, Andrej Pejic, has blurred fashion's boundaries again, appearing on the catwalk in Paris in a haute couture bridal gown.

Galliano for Christian Dior Spring Summer 2011

 Any runway show has the potential power to transform a catwalk into a beautiful vision of life, recreated infront of our eyes, to launch us into a story; a creation from imagination. John Galliano not only does this, he takes you on a magical journey to a place you never thought you would end up, shakes you up a couple times with bursts of excitement and then reveals his initial inspiration, that literally blows your mind. His fantasy world comes to real life on the runway, yet when you're watching it, there is no sense of time, realism or additional purpose in life, other than concentrating on not blinking to ensure you have not missed one second of the show. (maybe this is just me...)Models walked elegantly down the runway in an abundance of tulle, lace and adornments. It was as if Galliano hand ever so carefully painted the clothes on the models. Artistic movements were such an inspiration for the show, that the hats were actually designed to look as if they were brush strokes. Galliano took inspiration from Rene Gruau, a largely influential Dior illustrator, pushing the boundaries with the technique called chiaroscuro' (light and shade). He envisioned each signature piece with a spotlight behind the right shoulder, creating light and dark shades which elegantly cascaded down the clothing. Makeup was fierce, for the lack of a better word. Flames were beautifully drawn on eyelids and eyebrows were enhanced and coloured with paper cutouts. Pale-ness was accentuated by painting faces and legs, to give a portrayal of the ultimate, pure and untouchable beauty.   Dior's models seemed as if they had floated off a cloud from the past, sprinkled with a touch of faerie dust and given an electrifying spark of sexiness.
