Alexander Wang knows how to put on a show. Each year he surprises me more and more, and his presentation at New York Fashion Week was lovely. At first glance, I fell in love with his amazing use of transitions of material, seen on his chic overcoats. Fuzzy wool seems to delicately flow into the a precious silk like material around the midriff. As well, his use of organic shapes within his designs keep your eye wandering and searching for more intricate details within the folds and flows of the fabric. Secondly, I love the shapes of the garments. They are not necessarily conventional, but definitely do make a statement and keep your eyes glued. Then, looking back once more at the pictures, I noticed the fine details which were once swept over. Keep your eye out for fur attachments on the tips of shoes, lace up black boots which allow the models toes to peek out, as well as studded gloves and fur accessories. This collection is absolutely whimsical!
