As the women on the red carpet for the Grammys are always scrutinized down to the last minute detail, its refreshing to take a look at what the men are wearing and how sleek their style can be. Check out how lovely their looks are put together. Even Deadmau5 with his iconic mask makes quite an appearance. As I always enjoy Tommy Ton's street photography, I do specifically like his menswear shots. Men seem to have a certain presence on the street, filled with elegance and stature. Whether it be multiple layers, bold accents or simple subtleties, men's streetwear seems to fascinate me beyond no end. This weeks trend seems to be a 'splash of colour', throwing in a little excitement into a bland mix. Why not spice up a plain suit with a little hint of umph. In order to pull off this look properly, one must learn to not over do the splash of colour, making it seem as if you are swimming in Skittles. Hints of colour are the way to go, and no matter how small they are, they will be noticed against a stark plain outfit. For example, coloured buttons on a blazer, a simple scarf or layered jackets. Stay away from dressing all in one colour, or dressing in multiple colours that do not match.

Swatch, the beautifully crafted Swiss watch company has recently broadcasted out to the general public a challenge, asking trend setters, bloggers, magazine editors and stylists to create an eye catching and breath taking advertisement where Swatch's new Gent Collection is perfectly styled. Now you too can participate in this challenge by voting on your favourite ad created for a chance to win a signature watch from the new Gent's Collection. If you don't usually wear a watch, these pictures might inspire you to do so. They are beautiful, creative and some of them are out right sexy in an avant-garde way. So look at the ads, drool over the expertise styling, and maybe even make a purchase, so the next time some one asks you for the time, you don't need to fumble for your cell phone.
Part of my daily routine is to try on at least four different outfits, changing my mind every five minutes. You would think it would be all fun and games, however, at the end this fun activity, you have a pile of clothes the size of Mount Everest on your floor. But for some people, a little green fairy comes and cleans up their mess after they are done (apparently I don't have one...). I was watching MTV teen cribs, and I completely related with the girl who was showing off her closet... she too said she spent hours changing in the morning, however, she said, and I quote "Its like magic though! When I come back from school in the afternoon, my mess is all cleaned up!" I chuckled to myself. If magic were really a part of the process, I wouldn't need to make the physical effort to change in the morning. I could just snap my fingers and look absolutely perfect! If only we were all that lucky, and could show our monster of a walk in closet accompanied with three way mirrors on tv... Summer dreams. Endless nights. Fireflies. Sailboats.
While rummaging through my closet this morning, I found a skirt that had hidden itself in the deepest, darkest corner of my drawer. I thrifted it this summer, thinking that it was fitting with the nautical theme. Today, I was summer inspired. Makeshifting a top out of the skirt, I paired it with a red weaved belt and a red chain bracelet (which is actually a necklace... I tend to do that alot don't I?)
Who am I kidding? It's freakishly cold outside. So, I made the executive decision to wear a sweater on top. Darn Canadian winter weather...
Speaking of Prints: Here are some neat behind the scenes shots of Rihanna's Rude Boy music vid. I saw it on tv while I was getting dressed and fell in love with the outfits. (and of course the song.. its been stuck in my head all day. GREAT).

Taylor Lautner. I wouldn't mind taking a swim in that pool with you... you know a sexy guy when he can look gorgeous clothed while swimming. I don't expect all you guys to readily jump into a pool wearing a suit, but a guy who cleans up well always finds his way to a girls heart.
Ed Westwick, Marry me? I'm being serious... I actually cannot express how much I love Ed's looks and character. I have no criticisms... just love. Any guy who can pull off a simple shirt, sweater and blazer, topping it off with a necklace and laid back jeans will definitely get a smile out of me. Ed wears a D&G blazer, Victor Glemaud henley, Tim Hamilton t-shirt, Acne jeans, and a Lady Grey necklace.
Zac Effron. Simple but high class in a plaid shirt, tie and blazer. Another preppy boy outfit which I love. Zac Effron is a close second to Ed Westwick in terms of the race for my heart.
Robert Pattinson. Ohhh boy. Looking stunning in just a wind breaker. Gives hope to us all. Robert's distinctive sexy stare is just enough to woo a girl. Guys, practice it in the mirror. practice makes perfect you know...
The Jonas Brothers. Grown up, and handsome.Click for behind the scenes. These guys are known for wearing cute sneakers, jeans, graphic tees and pairing it with a blazer. Blazers are 'IN' guysm, take notes, it'll pay off in the end.
