FASHION

As girls love their accessories, we can never get enough of rings. We adore them, we cherish them and we wear them like it's our job. We wear them in singles and we were them in doubles, and sometimes we even wear them in layers upon layers. Why? Because we can't get enough.

summer wishes are just around the corner and here are some absolutely stunning images to spark your inspiration. Pair pastels with bold accessories or girly fabrics such as lace. Avoid black, as always except if they are your sunglasses. Even then, brown would obviously be a better choice. Those sunny summer days and steamy nights are calling our names!

Kendra Spears looks devilishly delightful in this spread for the February issue of Vogue Paris. Although you can get lost in her sexy pouts and steamy poses, recognize the power of layering. This shoot shows us how to layer pieces of jewelry elegantly, with almost a gypsy spin. In each photo the jewelry comes together seamlessly without being too overpowering.

Today marks the first day of Autumn, or Fall. Whichever one makes the season sound more appealing. Personally, I prefer Autumn. Ideally, I would like to spend my Autumn days perusing about in Burberry coats, high leather brown boots from Michael Kors and toting around my beautiful Louis Vuitton handbag whilst at a horse race, or maybe a polo match. After a hard day's work I would love to sit back, relax and sip an elegant martini, with three olives. Of course, my life would be perfect if I could do that every day. Till then, I'll just become inspired by the thought. Here is an adorable melody of all things that reminded me of a perfect crisp Autumn day (in all shades of tan).

Issac shows elegance best with his tea party apres dog walking show for 2011. As we look towards runway shows for inspiration, Issac Mizrahi stands out of the crowd. Although his palette included many beautiful pastels, grey and yellow look amazing together for this Fall. Show your classy side with these great accessories; big or small. Dress up a simple grey look with a splash of yellow, or tone down a vibrant yellow outfit with a shade of grey. Either way, you can't go wrong with Issac Mizrahi. As Fall is just around the corner, it seems as if we are looking deep into the jungle for our inspiration. Animal instincts are back, in the form of snakes. Snakeskin patterns can be seen all around, it small and large amounts. Use a cute snakeskin clutch to add emphasis to a simple outfit, or dress up a cute jumper with a pair of killer snakeskin heels. You can also accessorize your iphone with one of the amazing snakeskin patterned iphone cases shown above. As Fall moves within our reach, people want to feel sexy and sleek; just like the skin of a snake.

Today I was inspired by the European mentality of walking in plazas, where you have footpaths, and there are absolutely no cars, except the odd motor bike that has made it past the barriers. I did this a couple times with my boyfriend in Spain (yes, I rode on the back of a moped bike and it was amazing). I picture the beautiful European ladies walking casually around in their palazzo pants, which are amazingly chic and comfortable. They're laidback, yet extremely elegant. This inspiration has created my outfit for today, which will be showcased soon.

Here are some sneak peak pictures of one of the cutest girls in the Harry Potter films- and one of the sexiest in the muggle world. A friend recently sent me a video of this group when they came across it on youtube, absolutely stunned. The unconventional fashion reminded them of my blog, and they quickly sent the link over. I did a little digging on the group myself, and came across a Fall Winter 2012 fashion show (March 2011), where they performed live while the models walked the runway. They have a catchy sound, and can shake their booty- I'm still mesmerized by what they can do, and how they can bend.

Lavin has definitely taken a different approach to Resort Wear Collections, mixing in elegant ruffles, textures and colours. There are mixes of bright and dull colours, coordinating in a combination that takes your breath away. The pictures do not do the collection justice, as you have the urge to reach out and feel the exquisite garment before your eyes. Watch out for supreme and bright colours, intricate draping, over the top accessories and delightful accents. I just love this collection!

Every year, hot and popular designers look forward to the CFDA Awards, to acknowledge their talent and receive recognition for their outstanding achievements. This year was quite exciting, especially because of all the simply stunning outfits celebs and designers pulled off.

Enter the world of Missoni Resort, where tie dye, macrome and crochet wear is back in style. Head bands also make a prominent debut, being strategically color-coordinated and matched with dress and stockings. Imagine yourself on a secluded beach in paradise, with a gentle breeze, as you walk the sandy pathway in an elegant and sophisticated 1920's inspired Missoni outfit. Pay close attention to the fine details; shells, nautical inspired tie dye wear and high wedges. This is truly a dreamworld of 1920's psychedelic resort wear.

When I think of nautical-wear, I think blue, white, stripes, sea worthy skirts sunglasses and anchors away! YSL has taken all of these essential components, put it all into one, and threw in a couple cute extras. Pay attention to the fine detail and construction, as well as the silhouettes. Classic lines are making a debut on the sailboat, with tailoring and feminine touches. YSL with Stefano Pilati has created a beautiful collection that is perfect for sailing the globe, which of course, we all aspire to do.

As many of you may have noticed, there was a trend that was quite prevalent on the Fall runways this season. Bringing back memories of Twiggy and the 1960s era, Spider Lashes made a full debut, creating a dominating and confident personality. Below, Pat McGrath, acclaimed makeup artist who works closely with Dolce and Gabanna, shows us how to create and manipulate this hot new beauty trend.
http://www.fashaddictblog.co.uk/?p=7275

Personally, whenever I see a model fall on the runway, I definitely share their pain. For one, I get utterly embarrassed for them, (for some reason), because I know that all eyes (and very important ones at that) are on them. Secondly, I can almost hear their ankles snapping like twigs, due to the sheer fragility of their legs. Lets face it, you fear for a model's well being because she is just so darn skinny.
So, when I saw this little snippet of a model falling not one, not two, but THREE times, I was in a state of horror, but also one of comical sorts. I usually want to cry for the models after their big falls, however, you just can't help but chuckle (a little) at this one. It also makes you wonder what kind of shoes these models were forced into, or if that dress really does weigh more than the model.

What are the hottest new looks for Fall 2011 right now? Well they definitely involve a mix of sheer and sexy fabrics paired together in a range of colours. From brown to black, white to grey, and even turquoise, these sleek fabrics have been featured on multiple runways. Browse the pictures below to see how you can pull off a sexy and sheer fabric.

Although this weather has been temperamental, the sun is sure to start shining strong with an absence of rain (fingers crossed). Just recently, I came back from the lovely country of Spain, where the weather was beautiful and I was ABLE to wear heels outside without A) having my toes frozen off B) completely destroying the heel due to snow or ice and C) being looked at like I was insane (there are probably other reasons, however they seem to be the top three).
When I came back home, I was so inspired by the warm weather, that I bought myself two new pairs of cute wedge and cork heels, which are perfect for summer and nautical inspired (so hot.)
So, here are some amazing and beautiful heels, or cute shoes which would be perfect to complete any summer outfit.
Remember to keep your overall look simple for the DAY TIME. Either pair a busy outfit with a pair of subtle flats, or doll up a not so flashy pair of jeans and shirt with killer heels. Either way, trust your judgment on pairing things together, and always feel confident in whatever you choose to wear. Heels can make or break an outfit, but you yourself have to love it for it to ultimately be beautiful in your eyes.
LOOK 1
These fun and flirty shoes from Donna Karan New York can be paired with anything simple, from white to beige. Since their detail is so beautiful, try not to over do your outfit with anything busy, like a large pattern, or very textured fabric. Try and pair your outfit with a simple tote, like the one below.

LOOK 2
These sexy and statement making shoes should definitely be worn in a way that shows off your killer legs, and obviously your heels. Either make your outfit super sexy, with a short white dress and minimal jewelry, or pair it with a fun and flirty bathingsuit coverup like the one below. Sling a simple tote over your shoulder, and you're good to go to the beach!

LOOK 3
This look is for more of the sleek and sexy type of woman, who loves sunbathing and looks European chic on the beach. She loves flashy and extravagant pieces, always looking for more sparkle. Here are some cute flats that you can wear virtually anywhere, and look absolutely stunning in. Pair it with a slinky beach wrap, and this sexy gold tote.

Having just returned home from Barcelona, Spain, I am completely obsessed with the European culture and the way of living over on the other side of the world. I had an amazing time driving around the country and seeing most of the hotspots. So from now on, I am going to feature world-ly news in fashion, highlighting on European events.

Beyonce was in Paris on Arpil 22 and completed an editorial photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar in Paris. She looks stunning in this floral sheer dress atop a balcony. Beyonce has always and will always have a sense of beautiful style and the utmost gorgeous figure. Here are some pictures from [http://justjared.buzznet.com/photo-gallery/2537407/beyonce-hearts-paris-07/]

Recently, I was asked to complete a project which consisted of styling six cohesive looks which could be seen in an editorial spread in a magazine. My duties included sourcing the clothes, styling them in an attractive manner, hiring a professional model, photographer and makeup artist, and booking a location for the photoshoot. It was a crazy and intensely creative project which I will aboslutely do again in the future.

My vision for the photo shoot was to portray a woman in the 1960's, who spends her whole day prepping to greet her husband at the door after he has finished work, looking extremely polished and beautiful, presenting him with a scotch on the rocks. This woman is elegant, sophisticated and knows she is beautiful. I adequately named the shoot "Welcome Home Honey".
ENJOY! xx

I thought that Paris fashion shows were over the top, with their fantastic designs and whimsical theatrics. However, when it comes to extremities, Russian Fashion week is definitely on top. With its out of this world designers, and costumes, Russian Fashion week this year was definitely a spectacle to look at. I am memorized by the sheer beauty and creativity that went into each and every design. Here is a small selection of what we missed over on the other side of the world.

As Spring is just around the corner, the thoughts of beach perfect bodies are on our minds. Personally, I am guilty of hitting the gym at least once a day to rid myself of my hibernation insulation...
Most of us glance at the models who appear in top fashion magazines, or runway shows and either aspire to have bodies like them, or envy them for their perfect looks. However, they themselves are not always perfect and are just masters of promoting their good features and hiding their not so good ones. Here is a behind the scenes video from the shooting on the set of Vogue for their 'Perfect Shape' Issue.

London Free Press-Featured Fashion Photo-Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 "Pump it up" Check out the picture at the news stand today!

There is no doubt in my mind that Susan Boron (Susan Chlipala) will go far in the modelling world. Aspiring to be the famed 'super model' by making it on her own terms, she is determined, fierce and definitely has a certain edginess that will get her far. By taking a quick glance at Susan's photos, you are memorized by her unique and beautiful appearance. You can thank her Russian-Polish background for her stunning and one-of-a-kind distinct European look. Susan has been modeling for just over a year now, and at only 20 years old, she has modeled for Rogers TV, University of Western Ontario's Campus Recreation, the Western Gazette, the London Free Press, the Toronto Sun and numerous Sun Medias across the country. She has also done creative work with many local Fanshawe College student photographers.
Modeling may seem like a glamorous job, however there are some snags to it, and Susan has encountered many. Pressured to lose weight and perfect her skin, she decided to quit her agency in December 2010 and attempt to publicize herself, working as her own agency. She's successfully doing this through social medias such as Facebook and Model Mayhem- an online 'everything fashion related' directory, where individuals can promote themselves. You can visit her Facebook fan page here: (www.facebook.com/susanboron)
Susan would love the support, and for fans to check her status updates for new modeling opportunities and events that she will be attending in order to get her name out in the fashion world.
Since January 2011, she has done over eight local London fashion shows, collaborated with over 30 photographers and is still in the midst of booking new gigs with Sun Medias Newspapers. She has experienced the work of many talented makeup artists, hair stylists and worked closely with two popular fashion lines; D'Lane Fashions Inc., and Loco.Eleven.Apparel Co.
Susan is currently looking to expand her online portfolio to create a beautiful set of photos which will catch the eye of influential people within the fashion industry. She is a determined and extremely creative individual who is willing to try new things to make a statement.
At the moment, Susan is signed with Exclusive Models and is in the works to get signed with Gemini Models this coming summer.

Anna Dello Russo and George Cortina
I absolutely love Anna, and was captured by her ultimate presence when I watched video clips of her showing her closet and the infinite outfits she owns. Idol? I think so.
Above is a shot taken by Tommy Ton capturing Anna in her glamour. I think her headband and veil are stunning, and create a 'flapper girl' aura to her outfit, which is elegantly matched with lace. Love.
Did you know she owns over 4,000 pairs of shoes?
Phoebe Philo stunned runway viewers with her tight pant, which is ultra slim, tailored to your leg and splits at the seam, allowing the fabric to literally hug your foot. Didn't we just all purchase wide legged pants because they were all the rage? ugh. Well, a girl can never have enough shoes, and those shoes need to be paired with something, so why not make it be pants? These lusciously crafted ones out of super sleek and sexy fabric are too amazing to pass by.
Lucia Pieroni, the famed makeup artist did wonders at Rick Owen's show, performing a subtle magic to spark interest towards each model's lusciously red lips. Eyebrows were bleached to allow maximum concentration on her sexy pout, which I simply adored. It reminded me of the reference Issac Mizrahi makes to Call of the Wild in his documentary Unzipped. -A beautiful woman is found in the Arctic with her makeup in absolutle perfect condition and not a hair out of place, while she is draped in a gorgeous fur coat.

Street style is all the rage right now, and people are becoming famous instantly over the internet if they are caught on camera for wearing something FABULOUS. However, fabulous does not have to be haute couture, or extremely outrageous, it just needs to be noticeable. Take Caroline Brasch Neilson for example; a top model, who is seen wandering the streets looking absolutely chic in a 'cool college student, who absolutely knows the ins and outs of realistic fashion'. Superb.
Everyone loves a cozy parka for the winter. Especially if you live where I live. There is no surviving the winter if you don't have the correctly crafted and applied outerwear. So thankfully the runways were rife with a fabulous selection. Altuzarra paired their parkas with simple slip dresses underneath, which gave an elegant look to the industrial strength and (size) of the usual obnoxiously large characteristics of a parka.
From combat boots to classic black pumps, Chanel has covered it all this season. Depending on your likelihood to rough your outfit up, or add a simple heel, you might want to scour the possibilities seen on the runway. Combat boots are taking on classier characteristics, such as buckles and a more form fitting ankle strap. No more army surplus store, rough edges and messy shoe ties. Chanel will dress you up in style, even when it is meant to look rustic.
Ed Meadham and Ben Kirchhoff do not like to play by the rules. This season saw new heights in fashion, as well as runway etiquette. The models wore stunning red outfits that blew many fashionistas minds, however the ability to concentrate on one outfit at a time was hindered by the fact that all the models were sent down the runway at once. There was no time to solely focus on the composition of one garment due to the distraction of the one behind; or maybe infront? Either way, Meadham and Kirchhoff love to make statements, and they definitely accomplished that this season.

Sandals, oddly were a highlight of the Fall Season's Runway scene. How, do you ask, are sandals practical for winter? Well, you adorn them with fur of course! Alexander Wang performed this feat superbly by pairing a stunningly sharp and geometrically shaped heel with a swatch of feminine fur, which accentuated his sleek and sexy pant.
Riskay accessories and subtleties are in this season as well. Look to Louis Vuitton for a sexy, yet refined outfit inspired by doormen at a luscious hotel or condo. Who knew that doormen could be ultra sexy?

Kate Moss walking for Louis Vuitton. I really have no words, except that this image is pure beauty. It is rough, edgy and sexy, while being refined and classy as well. Reminds me of a 'good girl gone bad' in a movie in the 20's or so, when women started to realize they could have daring personalities and make their own decisions. Kate Moss is definitely a Femme Fatal.

As the face of Beauty for Armani, Megan Fox shows the world how truly beautiful she is. However, Megan has moved on to new heights, showing the world more sexy images of her body, barely clothed; such as in Armani Spring Summer 2011 Jeans. She has recently done a photoshoot for Armani Code's latest fragrance. See below for images found at
