I recently came across the the Top 100 celebrities in the world, according to Forbes.com, which also listed their income for the year. It wasn't surprising to find Lady Gaga amongst the top, followed by Oprah, and then of course, Justin Bieber. Who knew a teenager could make upwards of 50 million dollars in one year? Of course, he has the looks, the voice, and of course, the charm.

And as for Lady Gaga and Oprah, they make appearances in our lives daily, with either a new controversial music video (Gaga, obviously), or by providing comfort and stability with a daily talk show, reminding you that the world isn't always that bad (sometimes).
After searching a bit more, I came across the Top Ten Rich List for Supermodels, and thought it would be interesting to see how prominent these models are in our lives, compared to the celebrities. For some reason, I think society gives recognition to the celebrities more, and the models a tad less.

As many of you probably know, John Galliano has been in the news lately, and not for designing the best collection of 2011. He let a couple words slip last week, which should have never been expressed by anyone, let alone someone so much in the public eye. News is, he is going to rehab, most likely in Arizona, where John Elton and Donatella went previously.
Galliano's words more than upset the fashion community, as his slurs hit close to home, with Natalie Portman. Natalie was supposed to support Dior's new collection on the red carpet at the 2011 Oscars, however, being jewish, and having heard Galliano's crude statements, a costume change was in order.
She wore a beautiful plum coloured maternity gown instead, from Rodarte.

I have fallen in love with this video. Although Britney has made some mistakes in the past, this video is far from a catastrophe. LOVE. Kind of reminds me of an Alexander McQueen show for Spring Summer 1999, mixed with Rocky Horror and throw in some fairy dust from Kesha.

Gaga showed up to the Grammys in an egg shaped pod, almost something out of the Matrix, reminding me of Avatar. However, it was a symbol of rebirth, due to her new single, 'Born this Way'. It definitely turned heads on the red carpet. And we thought she wouldn't be able to one-up her meat dress....

Eva Mendes, looking as cute as ever, sports an adorable beige and white rectangular cutout pattern summer dress, perfect for the Spain atmosphere. I sometimes ask myself, WHERE DID Lady Gaga come from? She memorized us with her catchy pop songs, drilling: 'this beat is sick, I wanna take a ride on your disco stick' into our brains, which definitely played a continuous loop in my head for some time. Then, she gave us an overdose of eye candy with her exotic and unconventional outfits, pretty much initiating the era of body suits and bare legs. I have yet to attempt this look, but time will only tell...
For any of you, who are too shy to express your individual creativity during your normal, every-day life, why not be adventurous on the one day that we throw our morals on the ground, stomp on them, and toss them out the window? Halloween brings in all sorts of ridiculous costumes, and no one is 'technically' allowed to judge you for it. So dress up, show some skin, and maybe even some meat (for all you dirty people I'm talking about Lady Gaga's outfit at the 2010 VMAs), and make some noise while you rock out your costume. I've decided, like you should as well, to be a Lady for Halloween. Grab some over the top fake eyelashes, glitter, a body suit, nix the leggings and add in some sparkles and a bleach blonde wig.

Looking out my window, all I see is rain and complete dreary-ness. On a day like today, people need cheering up. The sun isn't present to take all their worries away with its glorious rays. Nope. Not today. Tough it out. Or crawl into bed and sleep the day away. Or, like me, lock yourself (not literally) in the library and start to study for finals. This weather should be incentive to go inside and study your bum off.
Anyway. This weather does call for a little interesting study break (instead of going out in the sun and tanning on the lawn...).
To compensate, I found some neat things in my travels on the internet.
Lady Gaga kicks of New York Fashion Week with a stellar performance, in pearly whites. Yes. She wore an outfit full of pearls. Yes. Real ones too, which included an arrangement of them glued to her face... Leave it to Gaga to ONE UP everyone else, ALL THE TIME.

Mississauga raised artist (yes, a locaaaaalllllll) Terence Koh designed Gag's outfit. In my mind, Gaga resembles a peice of coral, especially her face, reminding me of John Turners father in Pirates of the Caribean (Orlando Bloom's character).
